Burning Question
You have two uneven ropes, each ropes takes one hour to burn, How will you measure 45 minutes using them ?

Burn both ends of the first rope and one end of the second rope. As soon as the first rope is completely burnt(after 30 minutes), light the other end of the second rope.
When the second rope is completely brunt, it will be 45 minutes.

I AGREE WITH JUGS
Divide both ropes into fore, remove 1 1/4 from both pieces of rope,
then they will both burn in 45 mins
How about just making a mark 3/4 up/down (whichever you prefer to say) the rope, light the rope, and wait until the fire hits the mark? They BOTH TAKE AN HOUR TO BURN
Tie them together, then lasso myself a stopwatch. Arson is bad!
take one rope and cut it in half then take one half and cut it in half then take on of those halves cut that length from the second rope then you got a rope that'll burn for 45 minutes
you measure 45 minutes with a watch
with the larger lay it out to make a circle, stiffen the other and plant it in the center of the circle. you have a sun dial to measure the 45 min.
