car i dont know why it just seams like it dont fit
belief is the only word with two different vowels (i, e)
i hate these questions because when it says 'odd one out' that could mean loads of things such as; the car could be the odd one out since it is the only one which could be made of metal, or as katya said belief could be since it has 2 different vowels. Therefore these questions are pointless or the answer is whatever you want it to be since you could interpret the question in so many different ways...

is it fish?...i was thinking it would be because each word has an extra letter, and it would work if fish had 5 letters (3, 4, 5, 6)
i believe that it's the car because it's the only word that doesn't have anything to do with a face, the moon is believed to have a face on the surface, a fish has a face, happy is a facial expression, as is belief
i think it might be fish as it is the only word you can't use the letters to make a new word, car = arc, moon = no, happy = pay, beliefe = feel

The odd one out is happy because it's the only adjetive. The rest are all nouns. Even belief is a known. (Ex: My religous belief is...)

i think it is belief because the other things u have control of (you).
you can make him see a car
you can make him see moon
you can make him see fish
you can make him happy
but u cant make him belief you
the sequence of words -vs- letters would put fish out of place. Car=3 Moon=4 Happy=5 Belief=6
But then how would you know if it was Moon or Fish that was the odd one out?

I initially thought it was fish because it repeats a sequence pattern. However after reading over some of the responses I would have to agree with the person who gave happy as the answer because it is an adjective and rest are all nouns.
you are all crazy to try to answer an unanswerable question. As Catfood also thinks you could go millions of different ways depending on your point of view. If the person who made these up could just post the answer that would end the conflict.

Haven't read all the comments but I say "Happy"
All others are nouns and "Happy: is an adjective.
I think it's happy because it's the only word that is not a noun.
I might be wrong, there could be many other answers, but the point of this questions is to see your ability to recognize certain patterns. In the case of this question, there could be many different patterns and many "odd ones" but you also have to understand that, sometimes, the simplest answer is the right one
"Happy" not being a noun? Hmm...
I'd have to go with "fish" for the same reason musicalduck142 said - it's the speedbump in the sequence. Behold:
car - 3
moon - 4
fish - also 4
happy - 5
belief - 6
I thought this explanation was the result of simple coincidence until I looked at the sequence again and noticed a space after "fish" ("fish ,"), as if to say "Hey! Look here! Look where the fifth letter in this word SHOULD BE."

None of them belong:

Fish is the only one that swims.
Happy is the only adjective.
Belief is the only one that starts with a letter that comes directly before another one of the words' starting letters from the list.
In addition, Happy has 2 vowels, because the "Y" at the end of it counts as a vowel.
The odd word out is Happy, because all of the other words represent an aspect of Space, the big black tent only set up for half the day.
Moon = Obvious
Belief = Scientific creation myth of the Big Bang
Car = Saturn, also a planet
Fish = Pisces, which appears in the Northern Hemisphere during the fall.
i believe i'm the odd one out. I don't fit into this anywhere...
MOON is the only celestial body in the list.
But CAR is the only word in the list that's not in the bible.
BELIEF is the only word with two different vowels. hmmmm
Maybe it's FISH, the only word that's a verb AND a noun that is both singular and plural.
Of course HAPPY is the only adjective...
But my choice is CAR. Its the only one I can't do. I can fish, I can be happy (fishing does that to me), I can believe, and I can moon someone (scary thought) - but I can't think of any way I can car, be car or car someone.
i think the moon is odd. cars change, fishes change, beliefs change, emotions(happy) change. but our moon is always there the same in the sky! even if you can only see a part of it its always the same.
Belief is the odd one out. You can see a car, you can see the moon, you can see a fish, and you can see if someone is happy by the smile on their face. someones belief, whether it pertains to religion, the supernatural, or anything else, is nothing more than a thought. Therefore you cannot see it, only be told what it is by the person who has the belief.
That's what I believe anyway :-)

I think it is either happy for being the only one that has letters that hang down, or fish for being the only word with a space after it.
