Amazing arrangement

I have 8 cue sticks and while playing with billiard balls in three dimension, a strange question struck me. What's the maximum number of cue sticks you can put in an arrangement so that each of them touches every other.

As I started trying arrangements in incremental order, I amazed myself everytime, so when did I stop ?

Lucky Number !

Mr. Tito collecting data for census asks the man who answers the door,

"How many kids do you have and their ages?"

The man, a logician thought of playing a trick, replied "I have three children. If you multiply their ages you get 36, if you add you get my house number"

Mr. Tito a bit perplexed, but then smiled and said "that's not enough".

The man said, "I wish i can tell you more but I hear my oldest kid calling."

Mr Tito then says - "Aha ! now i know."

What about you ?

Saving Private Ryan !

"Take exactly one tablet of medicine A and one of medicine B each day, lest you will die from either disease or overdosage" were the exact words of the doctor. "These tablets must be taken together and you need all of these", the last sentence he said before parting.

"The doctor is gone but, i do have bottles for each" thought Ryan. He took one of the tablet A in his hand, while tilting the bottle of tablet B, two tablets accidentally fall out. Now there are three tablets in his hand. Because both types look identical, he cannot tell which is which.

Can you help Ryan save his dosage and his life?

Can you explain in one line , why this is so ?
