One and a half

If one and a half chicken*, lays one and a half eggs*, in one and a half days, how many eggs are laid in one and a half weeks?

*Assume that one and a half chicken can indeed lay one and a half egg.

One and a half chicken lays one and a half eggs in one and a half days.
One chicken lays one egg in one and a half days.
One chicken lays 2/3 eggs in a day.
One chicken lays 7(10.5*2/3) eggs in one and a half weeks.
I didn't really understood "how many eggs are laid" so I thought it's one chicken but if it's one and a half chickens, the answer is 10.5.

7

1.5 chickens will lay 7 eggs in 10.5 days. it take 1.5 days to get 1.5 eggs, so 10.5/1.5 = 7 eggs.

I believe the answer would be
10 1/2.

I got 10 1/2 because
If 1 1/2 eggs are laid every 1 1/2 days. Every 3 days you will get 3 eggs.

3 + 3 + 3 = 9
You then have 1 1/2 days left
9 + 1 1/2 = 10 1/2

I think your stupid. They're is no actual math involved. Pne and a half days=one and a half eggs. Now assuming half a day=half an egg, one day=1 egg.

1 week=7 days=7eggs

half a week=3 or 4 days=3 or 4 eggs

THEREFORE 1 and a half weeks=10 or 11 days=10 or 11 eggs.

Geez.

Sarah, the 10.5 people used the same logic.

1 day = 1 egg
1 week = 7 days = 7 eggs
1.5 weeks = 10.5 days = 10.5 eggs

the answer is 15 and 3/4 eggs.
laying 1.5 eggs per day (one and a half chickens)
10.5 days (one and a half weeks)
1.5*10.5 = 15.75

it is easy
1 and a half weeks means 10.5 days.
and if 1.5 eggs are given in 1.5 days, 3 eggs are given in 3 days so it has to be 10.5 eggs.
is that too hard to understand????

some of you ppl are thinking way to much into this. broken down its one egg per day, for 1.5 weeks (10.5 days) so 10 and a half eggs in 1 and a half weeks.

I seem to get 10.5 eggs which i deem is acceptable as the question asks u to assume is true.

1.5 hen gives 1.5 eggs in 1.5 days (36 hrs).
1.5 hen gives X eggs in 1.5 weeks (7+3.5 days=[7x24]+84)=168+84=252 hrs

X * 36 = 1.5 * 252

X = 1.5x252/36

X = 378/36

X = 42/4

X = 21/2

X = 10.5

kind of looks simpler this way, i think...
