KINGS ADVISOR
There was a king that needed a new advisor. He wanted the smartest person for the job. The entire kingdom was searched and it was narrrowed down to 3 people.
The final test was about to begin. The king met with each and told them that he would either put a red dot or a blue dot on thier forehead. After all three would meet in a room. Their instructions were that they could not talk. If they saw a blue dot they were to clap. if they saw a red dot they were to do nothing. But as long as they see a blue dot they were to clap. When any of them found out what color they had on themself, they were to come out of the room and tell the king.
The three canidates were put in the room and standing in a triangle formation where each could see the other two. They all clapped for a long period of time. Then realizing what was on their forehead they all ran out together.
What color and how did they know? This is all logic.
Have fun.

It was red, a red dot that symbolized a sniper being pointed at them
Maybe idk it just seems funny
all blue...each took turns turning around (without talking) so that only two could see each other at a time telling them what color.
I think the answer is one red dot and two blue dots. But im making this assumption on piece of information that I think was left out. If at least one of each color is to be used then this is how you would know. The one with the red dot would know because the other 2 are blue. The two with blue would see one red and one blue. If you had a red dot on your head and saw another with a red dot then the third person should not be clapping. So its One Red and Two Blues.
I think it was all reds, but they were trying to trick each other to be the kings advisor so they clapped, but then they realized the were accualy going to be targets, so they all ran.
So really the trick I think the trick was to get them to see if they can realize what was going to become of them. Which was be targets.
(thanks u eric, for helpin my out)
Um thats really easy...
All blue....
Atleast i assume thatd be it.
Cause all were clapping.
your all wrong see the walls in this room were covered with flat screened t.v.'s they were all clapping because they saw chuck norris round house some people and it was just beautiful. It was so beautiful they clapped for a long time. They all have no circles on their heads
They were all in a room, kings and advisers meaning it's back in the day, in a room for a long time clapping. I would say after a while of non-stop clapping they would get tired and sweat, the sweat on their heads carried the ink the king used and showed them what color they had.
Because otherwise it could be 2 blue and a red or 3 blues, the instructions were to clap no matter what if you see a blue dot.
They all had blue dots. If any of them had a red dot, it wouldn't have taken the other two long to figure out that they had blue dots (because they were both seeing the red dot and still clapping, so they must be seeing blue dots on each other). In that case, someone would have got up and went out immediately, but that didn't happen, so, seeing two blue dots, it would be safe to assume one has a blue oneself.
I say purple because blue and red make purple.
i think it's one red and two blues so that no matter if you have a red or blue dot you see at least one blue dot. so all of them would be clapping. although i'm not sure how the people would know which dot was theirs...
X
0 0
The 0 are the 2 clapping, therefore they see at least one blue. X is not claping, meaning all he sees is red. This means that the 2 O are red, but since these two are clapping, there is at least one blue, Therefore X is blue.
nm my last comment, i missread the question.
if all are claping and all see the other 2, then they are either all blue, or at least 2 of them. cus if 2 were blue, then they all at least see one blue dot (either a red and a blue, or both blue). It is impossible to tell if there are 2 or 3 dots
i believe mo is correct.
only 2 options 1r and 2b or 3b.
has to be 3b. Becuase if it was 1r and 2b, the 2b would know what color they and and would have left imediately.
all blue
if 2 blue 1 red
one of the ones with blue sees the other one with blue hes clapping and the other is red so he must be blue
I think they all had red dots on their foreheads. The dots appeared blue because of the light in the room (the king had ordered it in a lovely shade of blue). Being deceived by the colours, they all clapped.
However after some time, the king ordered the light to be turned off, and when rays of sunshine sifted in through the slats in the room's walls, they all saw each other's true colours and stopped clapping. Then they realised how foolish they had all been, and ran out crying, just like the pathetic bastards they all were.
Correction, Eblue123:
This is all assumption.
God you people take words too literally.. It's one blue dot and two reds.. You don't need to SEE a blue dot to actually see it, if you see that the two people who are looking at you are clapping then you see that you're the one with the blue dot...
with logic and a piece of paper with arrows and reds and blues and claps and whatnot it must be two blues and a red. However in my opinion if I was the King I would have put Red Dots on all of them to see if the advisors were smart enough to clap and make the other two people think they knew something that they did not.
3 Blue.
3 clap in only 2 cases: Case 1 - all blue; Case 2 - 2 blue & 1 red. If Case 2, anyone seeing a red will know immediately that he is blue and 2 will leave the room. When this did not happen, Case 1 must be true.
