2 and 7 at the ends
top row 5,1,8
bottom row 7,3,6
In the quiz,
are 1 and 8 considered to be "adjacent"...?
7 and 2 at the ends
top row 3,1,4
bottom row 5,8,6
piece of cake
1 and 3 at ends, 4, 8, and 5 in the top row and 6, 2, and 7 in bottom row.
#'s 1 and 8 in the center locations; #'s 2 and 7 on the ends; which leaves #'s 3,4,5,6. Make sure that #'s 3 and 6 are not adjacent to #'s 2 and 7 respectfully. Finally make sure that #4 and 5 are not adjacent to #'s 3 and 6 respectfully.

2-8-3
4-6-1
and then 7 is on the left side... and 5 is on the right end

2 4 3
8 1
5 6 7
2 on top of 5
8 on right of 2 and 5
4 over 6 on right of 8
1 on right of 4 and 6
3 over 7 on right of 1
just to say, Anonymous, for your 2nd comment you had two 7s and no 4s.
