Michelle slowly slides her fingers against the silver blades in her hand to check their sharpness. Next, she glances in the mirror to see how she looks, Finally, she enters and area where a group of solemn people from around the world holds her in judgment. Michelle has not committed any crime nor has she entered a courtroom, yet the group's judgment may affect both her and her county.

Believe it to be ice skating, at the Olympics, as previously stated.
Since the judgment only concerns her and her county and not Country, the person is entering a county hairdressing competition. Strange enough their are hairdressing competitions.
Michelle is a figure skater competing for an Olympic gold medal.
