Valerie,

I've many problems about your riddle:

1) Lady Liberty holds a torch in her right hand, and a bible in left hand. Are you telling me: she doesn't speak Englsih, but can read Englsih?

2) She holds down many jobs.
a. Symbolizes Liberty.
b. Insists on Freedom.
c. Reminds friendship between French and American citizens.

(Not French gov, who hasn't been friendly to us lately, & forgot numerous American soldiers died for their liberty at Normandie.)

d. Attract tourists.
e. In fact, she gets paid for her jobs. I remember: the admission fee was quite steep.

3. She is only half of a Resident. She stopped on Ellis Island, and never crossed over to USA Mainland. The Isle is a historic gateway to America, where millions of immigrants passed through between 1892 and 1955.

4. She is not an immigrant, since she was never granted a passport, nor visa. Think she can be referred to as a "Legal Alien".

5. Yes, I want to kill you. I am a Lady Killer.

6. I think Robbie is the only who got it right: Aunt Peggy.
