Boat Crossing Problem
There's a group of 3 men and 3 Gs trying to cross a river. There's a boat available but it can take a max of 2. Only 1G knows rowing whilst all 3 men can row. Gs must not out number the men at any point including ones in boat/land. No restriction on number of trips.

impossible.
man goes first:
men are outnumbered on shore #1
g goes firs:
men are outnumbered on boat
both go together:
either: g comes back leaving men outnumbered on boat
or: man comes back leaving men outnumbered on shore #2
think through before posting
I was just going to say that same thing. It is not possible the way he wrote this out. If G's could out number men on boat then it would be possible. but without that it is impossible
They all swim across.
Solution 1) Walk and find a bridge
Solution 2) Swim
Solution 3) Kill one of the G's or all the G's
Solution 4) Don't cross the river, nothing could ever come from it
Geez man,
What are Gs?
1 man and 1 G who can row .Then the g brings the boat back and gets a man then a man brings the boat back and gets a man then a man gets a g then the man goesback and gets the final g and they both get off the boat!
THEY ALL COMMIT SUICIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the question didnt say that they had to CROSS the river...
~ghostrider655
@ghostrider read the first line...
trying to cross the river... sheeesh... hopeless
This is so sexist, why is it always the g's (girls) who cant row why can we all be happy by thinking when we write these questions and not be so sexist!!!!!!!!!!!
the problem said, that the Gs must not outnumber the men, but men can outnumber the Gs...
1 man and the G that can row goes first, then leave the G
then the man gets another G, and they both stay on the other side of the shore while the G that knows how to row goes back to get another man
then he goes back to get the remaining G, leaving only 1 man on the original island
then goes back to get the remaining man...
@somefemaleb**** i will try to find a riddle and send 1 that has females in it.
to the one who posted after me...
you dont always succeed every time you try. for all we know, you could quit anyway. they got sick of TRYING to cross the river.
i man and i g go first, followed by two men, and then the g who can row along with the last g.
1- 1man + 1g
2- 2 men
3- 2 gs
the person who called themselves the idiot is right according to the rules of the story it is impossible.
assuming that it doesn't count if there are no men with one G then you still need two G's that can row for it to work. with the second G the trips would look like
1Mg Leaving two men and two G
2M Leaving the g that can't row alone and the men outnumbering the G's 3-2
3GG Leaving the men alone on one side and the women alone on the other side
4G Men outnumber G's 3-1 on first shore
5MM Even number on both shores
6MG 2men 2G's on near shore
7MM 3men 1 G on far shore
8G G goes back to the near shore
9Gg two G's go across leaving one G on the near shore and the far shore has 3men and 2 G's
10G one G heads back to pick up the last G
11GG the remaining G's go across and every made it and no one getting hurt, just tired depending on how wide the river is...
