there are 3 generations.

you r right and scince u got it so fast i will post anew riddle that is even harder :p
i also wanted to say the same thing except it was told differently: there were 3 kittens in a store. 2 mothers and 2 daughters came in and bought them. each person got a kitten
you guys keep doing this one alot. just w/ different scinerios
