Why is 2008 quarters (25 cent coins) worth more than 2007 quarters?

becuase if you have 2,008 quarters then you have more than only 2,007 quarters.....its pretty obvioes

maybe its the year and newer coins tend to be worth more unless something made that year special eg limited mintage or a special release set...

It's not.
In 2007 you could have bought roughly .83 gallons of gas with a quarter ($3/gal).
In 2008 you can only buy .6 gallons of gas with a quarter ($4/gal). ;0)

Duh.. if you have 2'008 quarters you have 50200 cents. But if you have 2'007 quarters you have 50175 cents.

not very original puzzle, i heard it differently, but the answer is the same idea:

Why are 1976 pennies worth more than 1897 pennies?

because you have more pennies.

like all other riddles you ue the kiss method (keep it simple stupid)

using that meathod you can see that 2008 QUARTERS are more then 2007 QUARTERS (its in the wording)
