Minutes To Noon
How many minutes is it before 12 noon, if 55 minutes ago it was four times as many minutes past 9 AM.

is it 15 minutes to midday? 11.45am?
It is 25 minutes to noon, or 11:35am.
x=minutes to noon
4x+55=minutes past 9am
x + 4x + 55 = 180 minutes
x=25
there are 125 minutes till 12 noon... meaning 2hours and five miutes... making the present time 9:55...
if 55 minutes ago it was four times as many minutes past 9am= 9:00... then the current time would be 9:55.... 4x00= 0 + 55 = 55 minutes after nine...
Now noon is two hours and five miutes away from 12 noon...
there are 60 minutes in a hour... 60 x 2= 120... add on the extra 5 minutes.... 120+5= 125
125 minutes until noon...
I agree with folderjam.
55 minutes before 25 minutes before noon is 4x25=100 minutes past 9 am.
the number of minutes possible that will past 9AM is 60 minutes..
so 4 times the number of minutes past 9AM is the tim 55 minutes ago of the present times
60*4 = 240 minutes/ 4 hours
9:00 + 4 hours = 1PM 55 minutes ago
so the time now is 1:55PM...
making it:
22 hours and 5 minutes more before 12 NN the next day
or 1325 minutes before 12 NN
