Incomplete Equation

Ax = A5

then x = 5. This is incomplete ?

simple.. A^5 is the equation.

the answer is unknown unless you find the value of A.

you can't solve 2 variable w/o having 2 equations to work with.. with this expression A can be any number.

I don't understand the problem. If A^x = A^5, then x must equal 5, and the A's must equal each other.

This isn't a trick at all. Maybe the trick is that there is no trick? lol

Its ssssooooo easy, take natural log of each side, divide by Ln(A), and then behold, x=5.

no x and five are both exponents. you assume that both a's are the same. with your assumptions only is it correct. but both a's do not have to be the same.

x=5 if A is not equal to 0 or 1

if A=1 x could be any number

if A=0 x could be any positive number
