Gaurds

You are locked in a room with 2 exits. One exit leads to freedom, the other leads to death. Each exit is defended by a guard. One guard ALWAYS tells the truth, the other ALWAYS tells a lie. You do not know which guard is defending which exit but each guard knows the door to freedom. You have ONE and only ONE question for ONLY one of the guards to find the door to freedom. What is your question?

My answer or question would be to ask either guard "If I were to ask the other guard if this door led to freedom, would he say yes?" while pointing at a door.

Explanation: It does not matter who you ask both answers are identical. A reply of yes pointing to one door means that door leads to death, while a reply of no pointing at the same door means that door leads to freedom.

Actually the correct questions would be."Which door would the other guy say is freedom?"
Whatever anwer you get, choose the opposite.
this will gurantee you the correct door.

i have a great answer...

ask one of the guards:

"ARE YOU GUARDING THIS DOOR?"

if he says yes go through the door. if he says no, obviously he's lying' go through the other door.

start to go through the door saying I'll go through here. since he is a guard he should try to stop you saying "oh no you don't" or (if he is the lier) "oh yes you do." Then you stop (even you seem to have the phisical strengh to woop his butt because why would be asking these questions anyway if you didnt have the streangh to overpower them both if the other person helps) and ask him if this door is the door to freedom and if he says yes or no you will know weather he is the lier or not and be able to trust him or not to trust him by what he said at the beging.

i would ask the person who always tells the truth if this is the door to freedom and point to anydoor and if it isnt then i would go to the opposite door. If it is then i would know which door leads to freedom.

I would confuse him and say "Do you not know the right door to go through if your the guard guarding the right door and the other guard is the one guarding the wrong door?"

Or I could scream really loud "I'm thirsty!!!" and they could go get me a glass of water...
either way is fine. :D

you wouldn't want to go through the door anyway, it would only lead to pink things that try to pull off your head
