Wall-E

Early 22nd century! A city in space without gravity.

Wall-E* following EVE on his escape-pod reaches a place which looks like a parking area. Fortunately he got a parking spot. The numbers on the left read 16 , 06, 68, 88 and one on the right says 98. What number he parked his pod ?

*For the uninitiated "Wall-E" is an Earth Robot and "EVE" state of the art feminine robot from space.

Bermuda Triangle

The Journal of the Paranormal reported the following,

It happened on the morning of March 20, 1862 The Ship "Mulan" vanished at sea!

"Mulan" was 50 foot long merchant ship transporting industrial spare parts and headed towards Miami. The night before the incident the crew was relaxing, on the fore deck playing cards, smoking or looking at the Florida coast. The captain was quietly filling his log book in his cabin when he noticed the beams of the lighthouse. But "Mulan" never reached her destination and nobody heard any more from the ship or her crew. Surprisingly no evidence was found until now which could have explained this sudden disappearance.

"Something is not right here, Dr. Watson" said Sherlock Holmes, "Think !"

A dirt-biker rode the first half distance of the race with the speed of 200 miles per hour. For the remaining part he was a bit distracted and covered half the time with the velocity 150 miles per hour and rest of the time, speed up to 250 miles per hour.

Irish Bulls

I got an email from my network administrator saying "If you don't recieve this email, please let me know." An amusingly absurd statement, that almost made sense. Such statements, that makes no sense and often contradicts itself, are Irish Bulls. We hear then almost everyday.

  • We are overpaying him, but he is worth it.
  • It would be a lovely day if it wasn't for the weather
  • Back to back, they faced each other.

Can you think of one ?

I Told You I Was Ill

A hypochondriac drinks his medicine until there is only one third left in the bottle. He then dilutes the rest with water until the bottle is two thirds full.

"This would be too light" he said to himself and tops the bottle with a mixture twice as strong as the original medicine.

He is still not sure if the resultant mixture is stronger or weaker than the original one, and by how much. Are you ?

Question Island

In the weird Question Island, people are as weird as the members of trick of mind.

Answers are not allowed. If the first person begins with a question, the other(s) reply with another question, the first person puts a third question, the opponent responds with a fourth. If you cannot ask the question, you don't speak. Repeated questions not allowed. No multiple questions. If you are wondering how the conversation goes, here is the first ever talk between Adam and Eve of Question Island.

Adam: What time is it?
Eve: Why do you want to know?
Adam: Why do you ask that?
Eve: Why can't you answer a civil question?
Adam: Why can't you look at your watch and tell?
Eve: When are you going to get yourself a watch?
Adam: What's that got to do with it?
Eve: Who do you think you are talking to me like that?
Adam: Where can i find someone who will tell me the time?
... so on. Know, what I mean ! So...

What is the Question ?

Two brothers had a flock of sheep which they sold getting as many dollars, for every sheep as there were sheep in the flock. Intending to share the amount equally, the older brother and then the younger brother, took from it $ 10 each, alternately in succession.

At the last stage, when it was the turn of the younger brother, there remain less than $ 10. the younger brother took this amount and the elder one gave him his new knife for the sharing to be fair.

Now ! YOU tell me, What's the question to be asked, and what is the Answer?

Wot's my Spot?

Three blondes apply for a job but the manager can't decide between them which one should get the job so he gives them one final test:

He takes each of them in to a room and tells them that he is going to put a spot on their forehead. He says "It is going to be either a black spot or a white spot and you are not allowed to ask anyone what colour it is". After administering these instructions and placing a white spot on each of them, he asks them to sit down in the interview room together so they can each see the other two candidates. He says to them "If you can see at least one white spot, please raise your hand". They all raise their hand. "ok, now put down your hands and no talking. The next one who can raise their hand and tell me for definate what colour spot they have on their head will get the job. After a short pause, one woman raises her hand and declares "I definately have a white spot". She got the job, but how did she know?....

One day, the C.E.O. decides to leave 1 hour early and walks along the same route that the driver takes. When the driver sees the C.E.O. walking, he picks her up and returns directly to the office. The Magic Trick !

I was in Disneyland last weekend, and came across this Magician.

"I had on the stage," the magician's story went, "a small iron box with a handle on top. I invite a strong man to step forth. In response an Arab of medium height but sturdily built, a sort of local Hercules, came up. He walked up cheer-fully, grinning slyly the while, and stopped opposite me.

"Are you strong? " I asked, looking at him from tip to toe.
"Yes," said he.
"Are you sure you will always be strong?"
"Certainly," came the answer.
"You are Wrong" I said "In the twinkling of an eye I can rob you of your strength and you will grow as weak as a child"
"The Arab gave a disbelieving grin"
"Come here," I said, "and lift up this box."
The Arab bent over, lifted it up and then inquired: "Is that all?"
"You just wait a moment" said I. "Assuming a serious mein, I made a commanding gesture and solemnly uttered:
"You are now weaker than a woman. Lift that once again"

This time the Arab failed to pick it up, no matter how hard he tried. What happened ?
