im thinking that 1=one
one=o-n-e
o=15
n=14
e=5
therefore, the largest number made by 1 one would be 34..i think
the letters o, n, and e are not numbers..
If I have 1 and NOTHING ELSE, then I have 1 and ZERO. If I have 1 and 0 then I can at least make 10 (ten).
However, 0 x 0 = 0. So, no matter how many zeros I have - I still have 1 and NOTHING ELSE.
So, the largest number I can make with 1 and NOTHING ELSE is 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000...
Ta-Ta...
Can I split the one into parts?
0.9999999 / 0.0000001 = 9999999
infinity + 1
IF YOU HAVE ONE 1 THEN THATS ALL YOU HAVE. NOT 1 AND NOTHING OR ONE AND INFINITY, JUST ONE. LIKE ON LARGEST NUMBER-II, YOU HAVE FOUR 2s, JUST 4 2s, NOT 4 2s AND ENOUGH ZEROS TO DRIVE SOMEONE UP THE BLOODY WALL!!! JUST 4 2s, THE MAKER OF THIS QUESTIONS IS VERY CLEVER BY ASKING THIS QUESTION BECAUSE HE MAKES YOU DO THINGS THAT YOU ARNT MENT TO DO TO GET AN ANSWER AND YOU ALL FALL FOR IT, IF IM RIGHT I APOLIGISE TO THE MAKER FOR TELLING YOUR SECRET, IF ITS YOUR SECRET. ANYWAYS MY ANSWER IS 1, IF ITS WRONG ITS PROPERLY GOING TO BE WHAT SypherBP SAID. IT ALL IN CAPS SO I GET THE MESSAGE ACROSS TO HELP YOU NOT BE MADE A FOOL OF BY THE MAKER OF THE QUESTION.(THATS IF IM RIGHT)
11. The question was the largest number with "one 1," which I take to mean 1 and 1, so I can make 11.
I meant split one up into separate letters, then the number associated with the letters in the alphabet, and then add them up.
For those who didn't understand my answer.
To matt,
tl;dr
My solution:
∫ 1 dx = x
{x ∈ (-infinity, infinity)}
only 1
sam that makes no sence
1 googolplex ;-)
Answer: 1 ---- Matt got that;
and the trick was that there was no trick.
Although there were some clever answers.
0.9999999 / 0.0000001 = 9999999
and 11 were good.
Whoever said that adding zeroes was
adding nothing had a good point, so I gave him a grade of zero.
there is a lot of answers I choose only tow
the first one as
SypherBP said...
with some change
one=o-n-e
o=60
n=50
e=5
therefore, the largest number made by 1 one would be 115
this method we call on it" math sentence" and this is an old method in math we arrange the letter and give a digit(or number) to every letter as follow
A(1) B(2 C(3 D(4 E(5 F(6 G(7 H(8 I(9 J(10 K(20 L(30 M(40 N(50 O(60 P(70 Q(80 R(0 S(100 T(200 U(300 V(400 W(500 X(600 Y(700 Z(800
the second is
use zero with one so 1/0 = infinit

You said think laterally, so the biggest number I can make is 8.5 * 11 inches - I could go to an even higher font size, but I don't feel like using more than one piece of paper to print it.
If you want to convert 1 = one = ord('o') * ord('n') * ord('e') then why not recursively define the same operation on each one of these elements, ord('o') = 111 in Unicode, that's "one hundred and eleven", now take ord('o') * ord('n')... * ord('h') ... and keep going forever ;)
