The boring answer is that Alfred Nobel wasn't particularly interested in maths.
Plenty of less likely reasons are out there.
im not positive but i belive it was cuz he cought his wife or something, cheating on him with a mathamatics teacher

SP33D, there was some maths award in Sweden. Yours could be part of the reason.
Tom has labeled it "bcreative" I know I'm not being so.
Alfred Nobel's wife left him for a mathematician, so he didn't include math because of that reason
He never married.
