Knightmare ...
bacteria it is ...

Bacteria was found in a shelled spore in the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, which has been analyzed and estimated to be 250 million years old.

Knightmare ... the bacteria was in a state of suspended animation when found. It was revitalized in a laboratory.

Hi Knightmare. My Daughter is nearly 11. She had better comprehension and manners than Cherry has, several years ago. So I'd go for 8 (tops).

googled Blood Falls ... pretty interesting ... the microbes living in the salt-water lake are 2to 4 millions years old ... the bacteria found in Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico has it beat by a bit

Galapagos Turtles live to a ripe old age - I think it was Clive of Indias pet turtle that died around 2003 aged about 250yrs. I'll have to check my facts on this one tho.

That would make it the oldest sentient animal?
