Loan Me Money for a Guitar
Three bothers buy a guitar for $100 (jeez! I hate they wasted their money on such a cheap instrument ... but anyway). The youngest brother said he could have purchased the guitar by himself, if the middle aged brother had given him half his money. The middle aged brother said he could have purchased it by himself, if the oldest brother had given him a third of his money.
The eldest brother, checked his funds, and added, he could have purchased the instrument himself if the yougest brother had given one fourth his money.
How much did each brother have prior to the purchase of the guitar?
(there's not a published solution, but I solved it to verify answers)
(and do you know a pawn shop where they might have found a better instrument... these guys are never going to learn to play with a crappy guitar ... the action is too high ... the cheap machines don't hold precise string tension ... oh wait ... sorry .... has nothing to do with this problem... heh heh)

Some connection problems at this end with internet connection, so this may not come through, so if you don't see it, tell me ;-)
hmmmm ... if we don't see it, we should tell you, and conversely, if we do see it, we should not tell you, so you still don't know if we saw it .... I've got a headache ... heh heh
Hi Karl ... our answers agree ... but it's still a crappy guitar
My rich brother bought me a Fender Stratocaster with alder body with V-shaped maple neck/fretboard, vintage-style frets, Vintage Noiseless pickups, 25dB active mid-boost circuit and a "blocked" original vintage synchronized tremolo. He told me that this is what Eric Clapton uses. Me and my brother aren't too close. I play the piano.
Hi Karl ...
I have a 50th Anniversary American Deluxe Strat ... cherry sunburst with maple neck ... replaced the bridge pickup with a Seymour duncan Hot Rails ... replaced the neck pickup with a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues 2. I removed the gear shifter (tremolo ... heh heh) and solid blocked it. It's my baby .. I love it.
Use to have, another Strat, a Les Paul, a Telecaster, and the original Fender Mustang. Also own a nice acoutic. For a while, I had a really nice nylon classical but it just wasn't me ... I'm more a Clapton, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray sort of player.
Your guitar with the built-in boost is pretty cool.
Another year or two of practice and I might attempt a chord or two on it!
At least I can knock out the back catalogue of Status Quo.
Much better on the ivories!
Karl ... when you tickle the ivories, what kind of music do you like?
I like SOME of nearly everything except RAP ...I still contend that they misppelled ... left off the initial "C"
Kinda funny ... in my previous post, I mispelled "mispelled".
