I enjoy this kind of challenge.
If you notice, each of these problems from Baffling Numbers to this one has the same basic design to sort through all the 10 (or 9) digits number choosing non-repeating digits then perform a test function.
The engine that selects the 10 digit sequences (in increasing order) is interesting itself.
1. How many are there?
2. Is there a repeating pattern?
I Googled to look for a generator yesterday, but I didn't find one. I did see a list of those beginning with 1. I studied the pattern and found it quite weird. Often two are only 9 steps apart, and a few times, many thousand steps apart.
But I did see a few strange pattern.
