Look at this series:
1 -- 6 -- 2 -- 7 -- 3 -- 8 --

I guess the obvious answer is to keep adding 1 to the number before last, i,e, 4 - 9 - 5 - 10 - 6 - 11.
This meets the puzzle criterion, but maybe there's a less obvious solution.
4,9,5,10,6,11,7 etc
Am I missing something?

Similar solution but slightly different approach. If you group the numbers in pairs you get 16, 27, 38.
Accordingly, the next three pairs (adding 11 each time) would be 49, 60, 71.
Making the answer:
4 - 9 - 6 - 0 - 7 - 1
It's a sequence in pi - the next few numbers are 4,8,5,5,2,1,4
I might have made that up. It might just be a horse, not a zebra.
I'll go with 4,9,5,10,6,11 too.
yep i agree 4-9-5-10-6-11
