Business Meeting
Chris, Knightmare, Cam, and Karl are scheduled for their monthly business meeting. Their occupations are author, biologist, chemist, and doctor ... but not necessarily in that order. Karl just told the biologist that Cam was on his way with doughnuts. Chris is sitting across from the doctor and next to the chemist. The doctor was thinking that Knightmare was quite an unsusual name for parents to choose, but he kept the thought to himself.
What is each person's occupation?
What is each person's occupation?

wow Zaux...this one is kind of hard after a few beers,but here's what i got
Chris=biologist
Cam=author
me=chemist
Karl=doctor
and those doughnuts better have some coconut on them!
too many brews Knightmare .. not right
I haven't had one since June ... sure do miss a cold beer
Chris=bioloist
Cam=author
that much i am sure of.so that means that
me=doctor
Karl=chemist
?
Cam is away getting doughnuts, and the biologist, chemist and doctor are all present, so Cam is the author.
Chris is not the doctor or chemist, so he must be the biologist.
The earlier post says Knightmare = chemist is wrong, so he must be the doctor who thinks his own name is unusual.
Then Karl is the chemist.
If I'm right it's only because I was told that the alternative answer was wrong. That's rocket science!
hi Lizard of Woz...your comments in "it's how far" made me laugh
i almost heard the gears grinding
That's right Knightmare ... followed with a close secend by the Lizard ... I mean Wizard
Someone please explain why Knightmare can't be the chemist.
I agree that Cam=author and Chris=biologist but the final 2 occupations seem to be interchangeable.
The only way the doctor would have to be Knightmare would be if none of them know each other's names - seems unlikely as they have a monthly business meeting!
I have re-evaluated this, and now believe the correct answer is:
Chris - biologist
Knightmare - chemist
Cam - author
Karl - doctor
Knightmare, you're original answer was correct ... sorry, I said it ws wrong
I confirm that the only solution is:
Chris - biologist
Knightmare - chemist
Cam - author
Karl - doctor
We know Cam was buying doughnuts and that the biologist, chemist and doctor were present. So Cam is the author. We also know that Chris is not the chemist or the doctor, so he must be the biologist. We know that Knoightmare isn't the doctor (assuming he was talking to himself) so he is the chemist. That leaves Karl as the doctor.
I've just this second seen Wiz's answer, and see that he would have got it right if he hadn't been gven false info. But I'm posting this anyway.
