The next term is 8. It is either the last term, or else all successive terms are also 8.The rule is that each term is the product of the digits of the previous term.
Well spotted Ross. You got it and you were the first post.
Wouldn't the successive terms be 0 since eight would be written as 08 and it's illogical to have a product from just one digit?
What about in the other direction?
Chris - if you mean what product gives 77, I cant find one.
Nor can I (with 2 digits)
Chris77 is the only 2 digit number that can give a string of 4 following products:- 77-49-36-18-8I tried up to 5 digits, but could not get a product of 77
