Knightmare has run a splendid campaign and was elected the Mayor of Puzzlaria. 5,219 votes were cast for the four candidates. He beat Chris by 22 votes, Karl by 30 votes, and Ross by 73.

A tightly run campaign by 4 worthy candidates. My health reforms may have cost me the vital winning votes.
Sadly done by a simple spreadsheet...
Knightmare, the Knightmayor will be delighted to know that Karl has verified counts
Let V be Knightmayor's votes. Then the total votes are:
V + (V-22) + (V-30) + (V-73) = 5219
=> 4V - 125 = 5219 => V = 1336.
So Knightmayor got 1336, Chris 1336-22 = 1314, Karl 1336-30 = 1306 and Ross 1336-73 = 1263.
Will Pequod be able to take the extra weight of responsibility (groan)?
