Cam,a pilot,starts up his plane at the Buenos Aires airport.Neal,a stranded traveller,needs a ride.Neal says to Cam "I want to go to puzzlaria."Cam said "That's no problem,it will not be more than just a few miles off my route."
Since Puzzlaria can be anywhere in the world,what was Cam's destination?

Cam told me along the trip that he had to go to the opposite side of the globe. Therefore it didn't matter what direction he went, it was the same distance in all directions.

Just a few miles from Buenos Aires.Nearest airfield to take a light aircraft to BA is Coronel Brandsen, thats about 20 miles...?
If Cam was flying to the opposite side of earth, he would have had a plan for stops along the way. He couldn't really choose any direction as he was starting the plane. So "opposite side of earth" is not practical to change routes at the takeoff. So puzzlaria could be close to Buenos Aires or Cam's destination, or by chance somewhere along the Cam route.
Shanghai is about 200 miles from the antipodes of Buenos Aires.
After Cam, the pilot shut down his plane. He gave Neal a ride in his car to Puzzlaria, then drove home.
His destination was home. He did start his plane. No one said he was going to fly it.

Here's a wild take on it:
Cam is a mental patient in an asylum. He believes he is Buenos Aires, thinks he is a pilot and imagines he just started his plane. Neal is one of the little voices he hears ...
