John tells the police officer that his residence has been robbed. The officer inquires as to what is missing from John's abode?
"As far as I know, nothing!" answered John.
So ... how does John know he has been robbed?

A long shot but,
It was night, and they had also stolen the lightbulbs, and torch/flashlight, candles etc so he couldn't see what was missing ?

Ok, so he'd know the lightbulbs were missing :(
How about he lived in a caravan, and that was stolen, so nothing actually missing from the caravan itself ?
Though would you use 'Robbed' in that situation, or 'Stolen' ?
nope ... not a lighting issue
the door was unlocked or the windows were broken.

that's close enough ... he lived in a house trailer and they took the entire trailer.
Ok this is crazy but, he lived in a trailer in a trailer park and they stole the trailer so tecnicly nothing is stolen FROM the trailer its self but just the trailer
