The Ransom
Detective Knightmare has been called by James Money concerning a kidnapping. Mr. Money told the detective that he has not called the police because the ransom note warned against it.
"Tell me all that has happened," suggested Knightmare.
James began, "My son Ronny has been kidnapped. I received the note yesterday morning advising me to bring a half million dollars, last night, to the upper level of the Puzzlaria Parking Deck. I recently fell and broke my hip so I couldn't go to the parking deck. Ronny's twin brother Lonny agreed to drop off the money. I didn't want Lonny to be put in a dangerous situation, but he wanted to help secure the return of his brother."
Knightmare said, "Is Lonny here ... may I speak with him?"
Lonny was invited into the library.
The detective asked Lonny to tell him what happened when he delivered the money.
Lonny said, "I took the money to the upper level of the parking deck as instructed .... someone came up behind me and hit me in head, knocking me to the pavement. As I looked up, I saw a man pick up the briefcase with the money and then he ran away... I only saw his back. I was too groggy from the blow to my head to pursue him."
Knightmare asked, "Can you describe anything about him which might help me find this individual?"
Lonny said the deck was dimly lighted, but the man looked to be wearing white sneakers, jeans, and a zip-up swearshirt.
"Mr. Money, is there any other information ...?" asked the detective.
"Yea, my son has not been released, and a few hours ago, I received another note requesting an additional half million dollars .... what should I do?"
Detective Knightmare said, "You don't need to give any more money ... I think I know who did this."
How did the detective solve this case?

If he only saw the assailant's back, Lonny wouldn't know that he was wearing a zip-up sweatshirt, hence, etc.
