I think the missing commas are a clue. If I divide the string by the commas I get this... but I am still lost.

25 19
20 22

"Can you decipher the message?"

My answer is, and likely forever will be:

No.

Does the fact that there's a space in between the five's comma and the twenty-five have anything to do with it?

I found the key, but I can't find the key hole.

The key is 8.

Actually I have no idea, but if you add all the individual single digits until you reach a single digit - 8, the same if you add up the actual whole numbers. This is coincidence I think.

It may also have to do with the old Atari wire frame game - Tank Buster (?) because if you plot out the numbers, you get one of those lovely mountain ranges you used to see in the background, but could never reach.

The missing key is..... operands?

I am wasting too much time on this.

Hint: the numbers represent words and a sentence.

I have added some separators which make it easier to look at.

I got it, the numbers are the position of each lettewr in the sentence "What is the key to solving this long sequence of curious numbers?"

Fourth letter is T
23rd letter is H
51st letter is E

etc

The clue is in the question!
