This is a three part question…
A Chris is standing at the South Pole, attached to a flag pole that gets higher the farther Chris is from it. For every meter Chris runs, the flagpole gets 2 meters taller. Considering Chris can run for long distances without tiring,
a) How long before the flag pole is out of sight (having Chris travel at 7m/s) and how high will the pole be?
b) How many kilometers would he have traveled?
c) What would the results be at the equator?
This is all considering that it is a perfectly clear day with unlimited visibility, and having the earth be a super-smooth ellipsoid.
